Fall Care Conference

Saturdays, October 29 - November 12, 10a to noon

Love and Care for Caregivers

Fall Care Conference October 29, November 5, and November 12 from 10:00 am to Noon

HOLD THE DATES!!!  (In person and Zoom)

Many members of our congregation and our extended community are caregivers for other family members with a degenerative disease or declining cognitive capabilities.  This can be a stressful, demanding role and often comes with a sacrifice of our own self-care.  Many of you have been asking for some education, encouragement, and support.  Our 2022 Care Conference, “Love and Care for Caregivers” is for you.

This conference will run over three consecutive Saturday mornings from 10:00 am to noon with the following topics:

  • 10/29:  The medical perspective:  what do I need to know?
  • 11/5:  The community resources perspective:  what help is available to support my loved one and care for myself?
  • 11/12:  The personal perspective:  stories of love, care, and struggles from caregivers and their loved ones.

This will be a hybrid event (in person and on Zoom) to hopefully fit the schedules of those who are caregivers.  Join us in Fellowship Hall to be in community with other caregivers or join us on Zoom if you are unable to be with us in person.  Register here:

This is an inspiring, guilt-free parenting small group that will help you make the most of the developmental phase your child or teen is in right now. Young Adult Small Group

Wednesday, October 26, November 2, 9, and 26, 7-8:30p,

Join us for a Young Adult Small Group starting Wednesday October 26th. We believe life is better when you can share stories, encourage one another, and rely on friends to keep you on track. Meetings will be October 26 and November 2, 9 and 26.

If you’re hesitant or unsure about joining a small group, we get that. Here are some answers that will hopefully encourage you to join us:

What is a young adult? A person between the ages of 20 and 40.

What is a small group? Very simply a small group is a group of people who are building intentional relationships with the goal of growing spiritually.
Will I be asked to share everything about my life? Nope. We ask that you share as little or as much as you feel comfortable. When you do share we hope you’ll be authentic.
Do I have to do extra reading to prepare for group? Nope. Our discussions will be based on the sermon from the previous Sunday’s worship service.
What if I’m not sure what I believe? You are welcome, wherever you are in your faith journey. All of us are unpacking the beliefs that have been handed down to us. We ask that you be open to experiencing God’s presence through relationships.

We’ll meet from 7pm-8:30 pm at church. If you would like childcare or you have any questions, please let us know. Look forward to hearing from you!
